DESCRIPTION:
Scot's song writing residency is for any age, subject, or literacy project. It's format, length, and project product is quite flexible. Usually done in a school setting it can even be used with kindergarten and first graders. Scot works with student lyrics to write songs that are then rehearsed, recorded and made into a CD for the classes.. Another goal is to make these songs available as MP3's on the school or Scot's website to be downloaded by the students. Check the video link below. Take a look. You will see an intro slide show, Video and 5 examples of songs and lyrics. Best way to hear the songs is to drag them to your desktop, open the matching lyric and follow along. You will also see a great video done by a 1st grade using their song. Also please go to the "Music" heading on my music site to hear
more examples.
