Maine Arts Commission Grants
|
The Maine Arts Commission provides grant support for artists, school districts, community organizations and art institutions through a variety of specialized grant programs. The Maine Arts Commission draws on its state appropriation and federal funds through the National Endowment for the Arts, in addition to tapping into other public and private resources, to make awards across the entire state.
What’s special about 2004? Special Project funds are used sparingly but they allow the Maine Arts Commission to take advantage of one-time opportunities. Funds were made available in Fiscal Year 2004 to support an arts in education seminar at L/A Arts, Lewiston, titled Assessment in the Arts: Solving the Dilemma, which featured renowned educator Eric Booth and support to the Ogunquit Museum of American Art for the production of two MPBS episodes of the Maine Art Museum Trail.
