Maine Arts Commission Grants List

Grant Programs

The Maine Arts Commission provides grant support for artists, school districts, community organizations and art institutions through a variety of specialized grant programs. The Maine Arts Commission draws on it's state appropriation and federal funds through the National Endowment for the Arts, in addition to tapping into other public and private resources, to make awards across the entire state.

FY2009 (2008-2009) Grants list

To date, during fiscal year 2009, which runs from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, the Maine Arts Commission made 88 grant awards through 11 different programs in 42 Maine communities totaling more than $520,000.

FY2008 (2007-2008) Grants list

During fiscal year 2008, which runs from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008, the Maine Arts Commission made 100 grant awards through 12 different programs in 47 Maine communities totaling more than $586,000.

FY2007 (2006-2007) Grants list

During fiscal year 2007, which runs from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007, the Maine Arts Commission made 113 grant awards through 14 different programs in 69 Maine communities (and two New England communities as part of the agency’ partnership activities,) totaling close to $700,000.

FY2006 (2005-2006) Grants list

During fiscal year 2006, which runs from July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006, the Maine Arts Commission made 88 grant awards through nine different programs in 54 Maine communities (and two communities in the Boston area as part of the agency’ partnership activities,) totaling close to $300,000.

FY2005 (2004-2005) Grants list

During fiscal year 2005, which runs from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005, the Maine Arts Commission made 174 grant awards through ten different programs in 71 Maine communities (and one in Boston as part of the agency’ partnership activities,) totaling close to $570,000.

FY2004 (2003-2004) Grants list

During fiscal year 2004, which runs from July 1, 2003 to June 30, 2004, the Maine Arts Commission made 164 grant awards through nine different programs in 88 Maine communities (and one in Boston as part of the agency’ partnership activities,) $661,609.

FY2003 (2002-2003) Grants list

During fiscal year 2003, which runs from July 1, 20023 to June 30, 2003, the Maine Arts Commission made 148 grant awards through nine different programs in 76 Maine communities (and one in Boston as part of the agency’ partnership activities,) totaling $633,996.
