We hope you will join us beginning THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6 at 4:30 p.m. at the Gendron Franco Center. Our opening reception will include delicious local Franco and African specialties, as well as live music from two groups. After the reception and to put us all in the right frame of mind for the next day's sessions, poet and Bates College VP of the Office of Diversity Crystal Williams will deliver a talk entitled "Practical Approaches to Creating Impact: Getting to Cultural Equity,"

Then enter the historic Bates Mill complex early on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the conference welcome at 7:45 a.m. Our Idea Lab, featuring 5 innovative Maine artists, kicks off a full day of 20 breakout sessions at 8:15 a.m. The five conference tracks mirror the priorities of the agency's Cultural Plan - learn more about the sessions and presenters here.
