The University of Maine Collins Center for the Arts, the Maine Arts Commission and the Atlantic Presenters Association of Canada have come together to create an international conference to serve all those who work in, or with the international cultural community.
Conference organizers are lucky to be collaborating with Bangor Arts, LA Arts, and Creative Portland to further develop the Maine International Conference on the Arts.
Additional significant contributions to the conference have been made by Pat May of the Portland Music Foundation, Tim Lo of the KahBang Festival, Frank from Dispatch Magazine and Maine FM, Seth Warner of the Olin Arts Center at Bates College, and Argy Nestor from the Maine Department of Education.
The Maine International Conference on the Arts is a terrific opportunity to intersect with the creative sector in Maine and beyond. The conference has statewide presence, with contributing partners in Portland, Lewiston, and Bangor. The co-conference with the Department of Education promises to attract teachers and school administrators from all over the state. With the backing of the Maine Arts Commission, regional forces such as the New England Foundation for the Arts, Atlantic Presenters, and New England Presenters are involved and eager to support the event through their networks.
The mission of the conference is to bring greater connectivity across artistic disciplines throughout New England, Quebec and Atlantic Canada; with Maine in the center. This includes artists, arts businesses, agents, festival operators, venue managers, community organizations, regional development groups, municipalities and anyone else interested in developing their creative economy resources.
There are many ways to support the conference through either sponsorship or charitable donation. Sponsors will build credibility, increase their visibility in the arts market, promote products and services to conference participants and meet decision-makers within the cultural sector. If you are interested in a sponsorship opportunity at any level, please contact Kerstin Gilg at the Maine Arts Commission.
