Arts in the Park is an arts festival for sure, but it’s not only about static art—it's also about pottery, wood crafts and more! A terrific line-up of musicians will be playing from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13.

Belfast Bay Fiddlers, a loosely organized group of amateur musicians devoted to playing and sharing traditional fiddle music in Belfast, Maine will kick off the music at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12. Up next at noon is the self-proclaimed “Maine’s hottest jazz combo,” the Aurora Jazz Project. IIn its current configuration, the Aurora Jazz Project is four cats (two with Berklee time) who are equally at home in a small, intimate jazz club or in front of a roaring festival throng. Their manifesto is quite simple: to pay due homage to our roots in the jazz canon while at the same time taking the idea of jazz in some interesting new directions. The last gig of the day is saved for The Bad Daddys Band. Back for the second year at the event, this terrific blues band plays all over the state and will be under the tent from 2-4 p.m.

Waldo County’s Leaky Boot Jug Band will be opening on Sunday at 10 a.m. This collection of "Waldo County rabble rousers" covers acoustic material ranging from traditional blues to the Grateful Dead, and some bluegrass for good measure. At noon, we are lucky to have our Maine National Guard jazz band return—they are always a big favorite. Our last entertainers, The Uke Group, will come to the tent at 2 p.m. and play until closing at 4 p.m.—ukelele music at its best!
