Light of Play…Play of Light

Location: ChildLight Montessori School, Route 4, Berwick, Maine

ChildLight Montessori School is a non-profit facility located in the quiet community of Berwick, Maine. We welcome students ages three through six into an environment designed to nurture the growth and development of each child socially, academically and emotionally during his or her first school experience. Our school follows the educational philosophies developed by Maria Montessori, providing a prepared environment of learning materials that entice a child to experience learning in an atmosphere of peaceful community.

Plein Air Quick Draw and Auction

Saturday, August 15, 2015 — 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM:

●  8:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Three-hour Plein Air Quick Draw for artists ages 14 and older in all fine art painting mediums. Community members can watch artists at work around the ChildLight Montessori School campus.

●  11:30 AM to Noon: Quick Draw art will be on display and judging for awards will be completed. Artists compete for cash awards of excellence at the Quick Draw in two age groups (14-17 and 18 and older).

●   Noon to 1:00 PM: Live Auction will be held and community members can bid on the Quick Draw art. Twenty percent of the proceeds of all art sold at the auction will benefit ChildLight Montessori School.

Plein Air Art Exhibition and Sale

Saturday, August 15, 2015 — 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM:

Community members can view and purchase plein air art pre-painted and pre-submitted by artists. Twenty percent of the proceeds of all art sold at the exhibition will benefit ChildLight Montessori School. Artists compete for cash awards of excellence at the Exhibition in two age groups (14-17 and 18 and older).
