Rockport, Maine--Carol K. Keller is the guest artist for the month of August at the Barb Jackson Studio/ Gallery, 22 Central Street in the village of Rockport, ME. The gallery, which also shows work by Barb Jackson and Liz Donald, is located at the head of historic Rockport Harbor, and is open Wednesdays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m.  (702-631-0993)

Ms. Keller became a full-time artist in 2001 and selected acrylics as her medium. Since 2002, the Massachusetts artist has had the opportunity to spend time in Maine, on the Mid-Coast and the islands of Penobscot Bay, which she says has had a major influence on her art. “The peace and naturalness, little commercialization and the desire to preserve this for the next generation all speak to my art.” “I love to paint the beautiful Maine coast but the thought is always present that this landscape and lifestyle are threatened in today’s world," she said. Keller is an artist member of the Cambridge, and Concord (Mass.) art associations and has exhibited her work in more than 80 group shows in Massachusetts and Maine. One of her most recent solo shows was at the North Haven Gallery on North Haven Island. See www.ckkeller.com/art
