VoXX Voice of Twenty Summer Concert Series: Music of the New World

The mid-coast a cappella ensemble VoXX: Voice of Twenty announces its 2016 summer concert series. VoXX’s program, "Music of the New World," features works from the 16th century to the present, sacred and secular, and explores the unique musical history of North America. The program includes pieces by Barber, Franco, Billings, Bernstein, Glass and more. 

 

 

VoXX will present five performances of “Music of the New World”: 

 

Friday, June 24 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Newcastle, 7:30 p.m. 

Sunday, June 26 at Beech Nut (at the summit of Beech Hill), Rockport, 2 p.m. (as part of Coastal Mountain Land Trust’s Arts on the Hill program) 

Friday, July 8 at Union Hall, Rockport, 7:30 p.m. 

Saturday, July 9 at Belfast Free Library, Belfast, 7:30 p.m. 

Sunday, July 10 at Old South Cushing Church, Cushing, 4 p.m. 

 

Admission in Newcastle, Rockport (Union Hall), Belfast and Cushing is $10; tickets available at the door. Admission at Beech Nut is by donation.
