The Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theater (CLT)  presents “The Importance of Being Earnest” (A Trivial Comedy for Serious People).Written by Oscar Wilde and first performed in 1895 at the St. James's Theatre in London, this farcical comedy is widely considered his most enduringly popular play. Working within the social conventions of late Victorian England, the play's major themes are the triviality with which it treats institutions as serious as marriage, and the resulting satire of Victorian ways.

Production dates for the show are June 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13at 7:30 p.m. and June 7 and 14 at 2:00 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the CLT website at www.laclt.com.
