Support tomorrow’s artists today. Collect original, contemporary work by emerging and established artists. All proceeds benefit working artists and MECA’s student scholarship fund.

Maine College of Art presents Collect: MECA’s Fall Art Sale 2015, October 8-10, its third annual art sale, a fundraiser in support of MECA’s Scholarship Fund. This three-day salon-style extravaganza is a great opportunity to discover emerging artists, view new work by established artists and build or add to an art collection. The art sale features a unique, diverse and unexpected array of original work in a variety of genres with a range of sizes, prices and media, including furniture, sculpture, jewelry, paintings, prints, photography, textiles, drawings and more. One to five works in any media are priced by the artists and sold to benefit MECA, with 50% commission or full donation options. Work is rotated daily, with new work displayed each day.

Collect: MECA’s Fall Art Sale 2015 provides a rare opportunity for art buyers to invest in original art by emerging artists while providing working artists with a sustainable future. The sale features a wide range of artists with ties to the MECA community, including MECA students, alumni, faculty, staff and others. Participants include: Marian Baker, Cat Bates (’09), Christine Beneman, Michel Droge (MFA ’10), Erin McGee Ferrell, Julie Freund (’81), Connie Hayes (’80), Honour Mack, Marguerite Lawler, Margaret Lawrence (’93), Tessa O’Brien (MFA ’16), Shannon Rankin (’97), Holly Ready (’94), Justin Richel (’02), Gail Spaien, Michael Vermette (’80), Kathy Wagner, and many more.
