The Mt. Desert Festival of Chamber Music, celebrating its 52nd season in 2015, is one of the longest-running festivals in the state of Maine. The Mt. Desert Festival of Chamber Music is proud to announce it's 52nd year of 5 Tuesday evening concerts at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor, Maine.

On Tuesday, July 28 Stephanie Chase, Violin; Dov Scheindlin, Viola; Moran Katz, Clarinet; Mark Shuman, Cello; Todd Crow, Piano and Music Director will perform ASPAR CASSADÓ - Requiebros for Cello and Piano.MAX BRUCH - Selections from “Eight Pieces for Clari- net, Viola, and Piano,” Op. 83
BÉLA BARTÓK - Contrasts for Violin, Clarinet, and Piano.  As well as ANTONÍN DVOŘÁK - Piano Quartet in D major, Op. 23

 

Begun in 1963, the Festival brought public concerts back to the stage of the Neighborhood House whose fine acoustics and intimate setting allow world-class chamber music to thrive. Thanks to enthusiastic support, the Neighborhood House is a central fixture in the Northeast Harbor Community and the Festival is proud to be associated with such an important organization.
