TEMPO (The Eastern Maine Pops Orchestra for Young Musicians) brings back their all-new original score that they play in synch with this hi-def, restored silent comedy classic! Harold Lloyd (With Chaplin and Keaton, one of the three comedy giants of silent films) plays a small-town bumpkin trying to make it in the big city, who finds employment as a lowly department-store clerk. He comes up with a wild publicity stunt to draw attention to the store, resulting in an incredible feat of derring-do on his part that gets him started on the climb to success. Laugh-out-loud funny and jaw-dropping in equal measure, Safety Last! is a movie experience par excellence, featuring the iconic sequence in which Harold hangs off of a clock face on the side of a skyscraper! The orchestra is conducted by Rebecca Edmondson- composer of this new score- and Ethan Edmondson, with thirty middle school and HS musicians from Central and Downeast Maine (some traveling from as far away as Herman and Benedicta).
