Seth Warner’s LP Project comes to The Dance Hall on Saturday, March 28 at 7:30pm with a live concert recreating two seminal albums of the artists Lyle Lovett and Amy Winehouse. The LP Project features Portland artists The Seth Warner Trio and The Stephanie Fogg Band joining forces to recreate the two albums that affirmed each of these amazing artists, critically and creatively: Pontiac by Lyle Lovett (1987) and Back to Black by Amy Winehouse (2006).
Seth Warner first appeared at a sold out performance at The Dance Hall in August 2013 fronting the band for a tour of Lyle Lovett’s longtime singer Francine Reed. His performances have been described as “ethereal” by the Portland Press Herald and he has appeared at venues as diverse as the Stockholm Folk & Blues Connection, The Boston Early Music Festival, live on WGBH radio and recently at Joe’s Pub in New York City. Highlights from his two decade career include performances and collaboration with The Parker String Quartet, and tours with the extraordinary Blues singer, Francine Reed. Actively engaged in arts presentation and promotion, Seth manages the Olin Arts Center at Bates College and has also served as Executive Producer for several internationally acclaimed classical recordings. Seth plays exclusively on Bourgeois Guitars, hand built in Lewiston, Maine.
