Maine Arts Commission: Commission and Committee Member Travel Reimbursement

The State of Maine Travel and Expense Account Voucher (Microsoft Excell format) must be used to be reimbursed for Maine Arts Commission related travel during your tenure as a Maine Arts Commission member.

If you do not have Microsoft Excel, please contact our office and we will forward you an alternate format to submit for your travel reimbursement. You must complete all portions of the form that pertains to your travel. The current rate for mileage reimbursement is $.40/mile. Per diem rates can be found on the State of Maine website or by calling our Business Office at 207/287-5633.

Electronic forms are prefered, however handwritten forms will be accepted by the Business Office. As you fill in the form electronically, the columns will automatically calculate the totals based on the Business Office formulas. When you are finished filling out the form, print it out, sign and date the form and mail it to our office. It usually takes about two weeks for forms to be processed and checks to be issued.

All requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 60 days of the completion of travel. You may put more than one trip on each form if they occur within the required timeframe of each other (60 days) and you are not in any hurry to be reimbursed. All out-of-state travel must be submitted on a separate form and cannot be combined with in-state travel (except to and from an in-state airport and/or other transportation method to get you out of state).
