Frequently Asked Questions About MaineArts.com User AccountsWhat is the purpose of a MaineArts.com account?The Maine Arts Commission markets the website, which in turn raises exposure to all who use its services. Having a MaineArts.com user account provides you full access to these free interactive web services. Spread the news! Post your press releases, market your Maine events in our Maine events calendar, list yourself in our searchable online directory of artists and organizations and post your opportunities in the searchable opportunities directory. Your account also provides you with communication options for you to select the types of information you would like to receive from the agency. The email address you provided will be used as the primary contact address for all agency communications. Please remember that it is your responsibility to update your online account or contact the Maine Arts Commission staff at 207/287-2724 if your email address or other account information should change. Who can have an Account?All artists and arts and cultural entities are invited to create an account and use the free online marketing tools. How do I create an account?Go to www.MaineArts.com, select the Login icon. From the content manager log in area, select the "Sign Up" link and fill out the form for new user. Sign up is a two form process. All fields with an asterisk must be completed to submit and create the account. If account creation is successful, you will receive a "Congratulations!" page. To start using your accounts marketing tools, simply select the "Go to the Content Manager" link. During account sign-up process I keep going back to the form "Step 1 of 2". What am I doing wrong?The form is designed to protect from intruders, therefore use of characters have been disabled and will cause the sign-up form to fail. Since the form will only allow for numbers and letters, please remove any characters (@#$%^&*)(!?><_=+-/~`'",\|:;) that you put in the form and resubmit. If you have done this and continue to have difficulties, please contact Lisa Veilleux at lisa.veilleux@maine.gov. How do I access an existing account?Access is set up through a link from the home page to the content manager. For a direct link, http://mainearts.maine.gov/admin/login.asp. What do I do if I forgot my user name and/or password?If you already have an account, or think you may have an account, please contact the office at 207/287-2724 for your login credentials. If you are still using the same email account as you have in your MaineArts.com account, you may use the automated password retrieval system at http://mainearts.maine.gov/login/forgot.asp. Do I need a different account to use the eGRANT system?Yes. The MaineArts.com user accounts and the eGRANT system use different databases and reside on seperate servers. Therefore, you must create an account in both systems to use their e-services. How do I update my account information?To update your account information, including changing your user name and password and listserv email subscriptions, log in to your existing MaineArts.com user account. Once you have accessed your MaineArts.com account, you would select the "my account " tab, edit the information and submit the form. How do I delete an account?Send an email requesting to delete your online user account to Lisa Veilleux at lisa.veilleux@maine.gov. Please provide your name, full name of the account, email and phone number associated with the account to be deleted.
