“It is an immense honor to be awarded the Maine Arts Commission's Visual Arts Fellowship for 2011. As a Maine native, I am incredibly proud to represent the artists of this great state, as well as the people who make up its population. This fellowship will allow me as an artist to expand upon current ideas, execute more projects and allow me to take more steps to further my artistic growth. I would like to thank my wonderful family and friends for being so incredibly supportive of my art practice, and the Maine Arts Commission and the State of Maine for this great recognition. “
