Promoting Your Arts Event: Pixels, Press Releases and Web Calendars will be the subject of Five Rivers Arts Alliance Members Meeting on Monday, October 5 at 6pm at Frontier Cafe, Cinema + Gallery,
14 Maine St. It is made possible, in part, with support from Women, Work & Community.
The focus of the meeting is to improve the publicity skills of artists, businesses and organizations as they promote their fall and holiday arts events. Alana Post, a Portland-based web and graphic designer will discuss Photoshop techniques to prepare digital images for print, newspaper and the web. Harriet Mosher of Five Rivers Arts Alliance will present the basics of writing good press releases, calendar releases and the use of free web calendars.
