Saco, Maine: August 25, 2009. Jon Brandon, lead conservator at East Point Conservation Studio in Brunswick, Maine, will present a slide lecture describing the recent conservation of an Edward Moulton tall case clock. The lecture is free and open to the public at the Dyer Library/Saco Museum in Saco, Maine, at 6 p.m. on October 23, 2009. This lecture is one of a series presented by the Dyer Library/Saco Museum celebrating the museum's major exhibition: A Treasured Ten: A Decade of Collecting at the Saco Museum.

. The clock was made in Saco between 1814-1820 with the works by Edward S. Moulton and the case by Abraham Forsskol. The lecture will illustrate how family stories and physical evidence guided the restoration of this wonderful timepiece. After service in Saco, the clock travelled with its owners beginning in the mid-19th century to far away Apalachicola, Florida, and eventually to at least four other states. As a gift of Charles Dodge, the clock has been donated to the Saco Museum, bringing it back to its Maine home. For more information, please call Jon Brandon at East Point Conservation Studio, phone 207-721-0088, or visit www.eastpointconservation.com.
