On Thursday, November 12th, the Pearson Legacy Gallery, 13 Dow Rd., Deer Isle, will hold an Opening Reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for the Third Annual "Noah's Ark Revisited" exhibition, an all-creature show. The exhibition runs through Sunday, November 29th. Over 50 artists, working in all media, have work in this lively show. The creatures represented are not only the usual cats, dogs and crows, but also manatees, bears, porcupines and even imaginary critters.
To add to the festivities, caricature artist, Lorraine Herschkorn, will be on hand at the opening to do on-site sketches of the pets (from photographs) of gallery visitors or their relatives or friends. A perfect, affordable, gift for the holidays.
AND, each visitor to the gallery will vote for his or her favorite artwork and at the end of the exhibit the winning artist will receive a gift certificate for dinner at a local restaurant.
