Once again, the Nasson Community Center is the venue for this wildly popular dance competition to be held on Saturday, November 21, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Eight dance couples will compete for top honors and prizes in what will certainly be a high energy, exciting, and fun-filled evening.
Several professional dancers are teaming up with local dance enthusiasts to show off their creative dance routines and intricate dance steps. Their skills on the dance floor are certain to entertain the audience and cause what they hope will be thunderous applause in support of their performances.
Here is a listing of the star dance partners:
1) Margo Sullivan and Kevin Mannix
This medical student hopes that storm clouds don?t gather when she and WCSH6 weather forecaster Kevin Mannix step out on the dance floor!
2) Katie Brooks and Raymond Parent
Katie, employed by ME Mental Health partners, was a teacher at Diane's School of Dance, and is teamed with Sanford's Fire Chief, Raymond Parent.
3) Kendra Dore and Martin McKeon
Kendra is a dance teacher and Sanford school district cheer coach who will dance with Martin, a Sanford H. S. history teacher.
4) Heather Torno and Jason Champlin
Heather is the owner of Northern Explosion Dance and will be kept on the straight and narrow on the dance floor by her partner Jason, a Sanford Police Officer.
5) Diane Higgins and Mario Barros
Ms. Higgins is affiliated with Diane's School of Dance and has teamed up with Mario, a sales professional with Sysco.
6) Natalie Ledue and Luke Dionne
These high school students will give a youthful angle to dance at its finest.
7) Patricia Aprile and Peter Boutilier
From a Goodall Hospital Executive to an expert in Ballroom dancing, watch for them to really "cut a rug."

8) Lori and Mark Hegarty
Lori, a Town Rec Coordinator, and Mark, an Insurance Professional, have one thing in common when it comes to this competition: they both danced professionally at Sea World in Florida!
The judges for the event are Liane Penley from Lebanon, a jazz/tap and hip-hop instructor; George Kane of Sanford, a ballroom dance instructor; Merilee Perkins from Shapleigh, the YMCA's Senior Program Director; and Julie McCullough, a Sanford High School Senior.
