Arts Education Webinar Series
During phase 1 of the Maine Arts Assessment Initiative, 2011-12 school year, the Maine Learning Technology Initiative and the Maine Department of Education hosted a series of webinars on arts education. The seven webinars hosted by Catherine Ring and Rob Westerberg were designed to engage teachers and administrators alike. Each program addressed the key components of the Initiative. These webinars have an accompanying "meeting plan" that school leaders can use or adapt to facilitate faculty meetings, conversations, or study groups looking at quality arts assessment practices. The "meeting plans" are posted with each recorded webinar and can be accessed on this webpage.
During phase 3, 2013-14 school year, a second set of webinars were hosted by Catherine and Rob. These webinars were recorded and “meeting plans” accompany them. The topics of the webinars are on important issues that impact all arts educators.
Rob is a music educator from York High School and a member of the MAAI leadership team.
Catherine is a visual art educator and presently the Director of the New England Institute for Teacher Education and a member of the MAAI leadership team.
