Grant: $1,500This grant will allow the artist, a printmaker and textile designer, to embark on a mission to transform prints and textiles of her own design into wearable art, aka fashion, and allow the artist to return to the process of screen printing as well as expand her practice to include garment design. Using drawings from her current plant series and executing all steps from design to finished piece, she aims to create a collection of fabrics and garments that are domestically made from start to finish. For this project she will translate four of her designs to screens she will print herself, and additionally create four designs to be digitally printed on fabric. This project will culminate with eight garments sewn out of her printed fabrics.
