In a world increasingly influenced by virtual content, it's a must for artists and arts organizations to engage your audience through video. Whether you're a musician putting out a DIY music video on a limited budget or an organization learning how to get the best quality livestream, this panel will provide tools and advice on getting you to the end result you are seeking. This discussion will touch on topics including production basics, helpful apps and tools, creating viral content, monetizing your content, and live streaming.

This panel will be moderated by Meg Shorette of Launchpad. Launchpad is an Arts Incubator focused on collaborating with artists, arts organizations and communities, to develop creative places in Maine. Projects, programming, and Creative Placemaking initiatives develop and strengthen the local creative economy through work with emerging artists, arts organizations, startups, municipalities, and other economic development or arts development organizations.

Spose

Spose is a rapper, producer and podcaster from Wells, Maine. In addition to the success of his own music which receives tens of millions of streams annually, in 2020, Spose released a Jay-Z and The Smashing Pumpkins mash-up album which was acclaimed by Spin Magazine, Stereogum, NME, Kerrang! and other publications. Spose has also released a children's book "Pinecone Pete Is Not Impressed" and a mobile app "Spose: The King of Maine."

Alex Steed/ Knack Factory

 Alex Steed is the co-creator of Knack Factory, a commercial and creative video production company based in Portland, Maine. He spends half his time in Maine and half his time in Nashville. Along with Sarah Marshall, he is the co-host of a medium-popular podcast called Why Are Dads.

Born and raised in Maine, Wesleigh Sterrs is a Portland-based filmmaker, artist, animator, and musician.
