This grant, jointly administered by the Maine Arts Commission and the Maine Humanities Council, funds projects that include elements of both the arts and humanities.

Arts Learning

Application Deadline: March 23, 2017
Maximum grant award: $5,000 (with a required 50% match)

Summary
This grant supports schools, arts organizations/institutions and community-based teaching artists as they collaborate on the design and delivery of high-quality arts learning experiences for K-12 students. 

Creative Aging

Application Deadline: March 23, 2017
Maximum grant award: $1,000 (with a required 50% match)

Summary
This grant supports teaching artists to work with older adults in a range of community settings.

Creative Communities = Economic Development (CCED), a two-phase program

CCED Phase I: Cultural Plan

Application Deadlines: March 23, 2017
Maximum grant award: $10,000 (with a required 1:1 match) 

Summary
This grant will award successful community applicants a $10,000 grant to develop a Cultural Plan. A Cultural Plan is a prerequisite to a CCED Phase II: Implementation application.

CCED Phase II: Implementation

Application Deadlines

Letter of Interest : March 23, 2017 Full application (upon invitation)—September 21, 2017
Maximum grant award: $75,000 ($40,000 for year one, $25,000 in year two, $10,000 in year three) with a required 1:1 match.

Summary
This grant supports partnerships between cultural, economic and governmental sectors to effect community revitalization. Applications will be considered from communities/regions with a strong commitment to inter-sector collaboration that seeks to strengthen the cultural assets of their community.

Organizational Development Grant

Application Deadline: March 23, 2017
Maximum Award: $5,000 (with a required 1:1 match)

Summary
This grant provides funding for arts and cultural organizations to support capacity-building projects for organizations throughout Maine. Grant funds can help organizations address issues that include positioning of the organization, board and staff development, planning, financial management, and marketing. Projects can be in any artistic discipline and on any scale.

Partnership Grant

Application Deadline: March 23, 2017
Maximum grant award $2,000 to $25,000 (with a required 1:1 match)

Summary
This grant provides funding for arts and cultural organizations to enter into partnership with the Maine Arts Commission. Funds are unrestricted and will go to building the state’s cultural infrastructure. 

Project Grant for Organizations

Application Deadline: March 23, 2017
Maximum grant award $5,000 (with a required 1:1 match)

Summary
This grant is designed to support creative projects throughout Maine. Grant funds assist organizations with the production of high-quality creative activities, the creation of new work, and the continuation of successful arts programs. Projects can be in any artistic discipline and on any scale.
