Applications open for Creative Community Fellows: New England!

It’s time again for Creative Community Fellows: New England recruitment, and I’m writing in hopes that you can share this great opportunity with your networks.

Last year, with the support of Barr Foundation, NAS launched Creative Community Fellows: New England to serve creative entrepreneurs working towards positive change. Thanks to partners like you, we were able to recruit a fantastic cohort of leaders from all over New England.

Applications are now open for our second cohort, and I invite you to share the news with others in your circle.

Creative Community Fellows New England joins twenty-five creative change-makers across the region to be part of something bigger. It’s an environment of support and practice for people using arts and culture to create positive change in their New England communities. Together, Fellows create a network of accountability, helping each other take their projects to the next level.

The five-month program, from summer to fall 2019, is a combination of online learning and in-person experiences, jump-started at an incubator-like environment in Vermont, where Fellows spend eight days living and learning alongside one another, building their skills in strategy, leadership and design thinking. Monthly online courses cover topics such as community development, finding capital and support, budgeting and more. Over the course of the program, Fellows will share project updates and receive one-on-one mentoring from leaders in the field. Once completed, Fellows will have tested, adapted, and built significantly upon their work, walking away with clarity and a strategy to move forward.

Applications are open through April 22, 2019.
