Bangor Community Theatre, the longest-running group in the greater Bangor area, is proud to announce auditions for its Fall 2018 production, "Harvey" by Mary Chase, directed by Irene Dennis.  

About the Play:

In this classic comedy from the 1940s, Elwood P. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey is an imaginary six-foot-tall rabbit. To avoid future embarrassment for her family—and especially for her daughter, Myrtle Mae—Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. But it seems that Elwood and his invisible companion have a strange influence on more than one of the doctors. Only at the end does Veta realize that maybe Harvey isn’t so bad after all.

Winner of the 1945 Pulitzer Prize for drama.

Audition Dates: Friday, August 17 from 5:30-7:30pm and Sunday, August 19 from 2:30-4:30pm 

Performance Dates: Fridays-Sundays, October 26-28 and November 2-4.

Auditions, rehearsals and performances will be at the Bangor Grange #372, 1192 Ohio St., Bangor.
