Industrial Maine: Our Other Landscape, Call for Art

The Atrium Art Gallery at University of Southern Maine's Lewiston-Auburn College (USM) is hosting an exhibition, Industrial Maine: Our Other Landscape, a group show of 2D and 3D Art and is seeking artists whose work is focused on Maine’s industrial landscape. The show will run from March 12 -- June 1, 2018.

Painter Janice L. Moore is the guest curator for this exhibition. She has a had longtime interest in Maine's work landscapes and how they have shaped us both physically and culturally. Her work has focused on our working factories, abandoned work sites, and repurposed structures throughout the state. Robyn Holman, retired curator of Atrium Gallery, will also take part in the artist selection.

Maine artists are invited to submit images of work for consideration. All media will be considered: paintings, drawings, sculpture, works in clay, fiber, glass, ceramic, metal, and wood. There is no entry fee. Works may be for sale with arrangements between the buyer and artist. Proposal for new works will be considered.
