The Maine Office of Tourism is working with Destinations International and Maine's eight regional marketing organizations to explore tourism destinations in strength and level of community engagement. Each region will receive an individualized report outlining strengths and areas that need more focus; and MOT will receive a statewide report as the result of this work.

The Maine Office of Tourism (MOT) monitors organizational trends, and determined it would benefit the regional organizations to explore their internal strengths and weaknesses through a formal DESTINATIONS INTERNATIONAL assessment. MOT contracted with DESTINATIONS INTERNATIONAL TO ADMINISTER THE PROCESS AND SURVEY.

The process included meetings in each Maine tourism region where the survey was distributed. Your input is critical to this process and to help us understand how your region is measuring up to standards. This survey is for municipal leaders, the tourism industry, community residents, and business leaders.

The survey takes about 20 minutes. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY AND HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD. I ASK THAT YOU ALSO SHARE THIS SURVEY WITH YOUR CONSTITUENCY AND COLLEAGUES. Deadline for completion is December 1st.
