The Grand is excited to continue its fine tradition of live, self-produced community theater on the Stanley Subaru Stage with a terrific production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer prize-winning “Our Town” (as Wilder wished it ot be performed) opening on Friday October 20 and running on weekends (Fridays & Saturdays at 7:00pm, Sundays at 2:00pm) through October 29. Described by Edward Albee as “…the greatest American play ever written,” the story follows the small town of Grover’s Corners through three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage,” and “Death and Eternity.” Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, audiences follow the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and face death and eternity. The Grand Players take the stage to share this wonderful, engaging story, directed by Executive Director Nick Turner as only the Grand can do it! Tickets for this presentation are reserved and are as follows- $20 for Adults and Seniors, $18 for Grand Members and Military, $10 for Students (17 & under).
