MECAmorphosis: Maine College of Art's annual spring gala celebrates the 2019 Thesis Exhibition and introduces over 100 emerging artists graduating from MECA in the BFA program, as well as raises critical scholarship funds to educate the next generation of artists. MECAmorphosis consists of two events: The 2019 BFA Thesis Exhibition and The Fashion Show. Held in conjunction with Portland's First Friday Art Walk, the 2019 Thesis Exhibition opens Friday, May 3 from 5-8pm. Featuring interactive art on four floors of the College's historic Porteous Building, the annual Thesis Exhibition is not to be missed. Free and open to the public. The Fashion Show premiers the collections of our majors in Textile & Fashion Design. It will take place in the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) on Friday, May 3 at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7. Tickets are required. Complimentary cocktail and beer plus cash bar (21+ only with ID). Host Committee Ticket: $150 General Admission Ticket: $100
