“Stage,” a modular, twelve by twelve-foot, site-specific inverse pyramid installation built by artist Patricia Brace will be activated during an evening of solo performances filmed via an aerial livestream camera on April 9th. Performers Patricia Brace, Riley Watts, Liz Rhaney and Heather Lyon will present performance pieces choreographed for the specific geometry and conditions of “Stage.”Although designed before the pandemic, the form and performance work within Stage serve as metaphor for the isolation and solitude of quarantine, an index of the influx of digital culture that partially fulfill our current need for a empathetic human experiences of connection.
