About the Artist

Although I am captivated by the light and the landscape of Maine, it is the villages, harbors, and architecture to which I keep returning for subject matter. I seek to capture these in a careful style using straight lines and painstaking detail painting small family businesses and familiar road and advertising signs. I draw attention to the qualities that make ''Maine - The way life should be'', and in so doing I evoke a sense of the order and simplicity that I value in our surroundings here.
