All courses use case studies, allowing you to immediately apply your work to your organization or a nonprofit of your choosing, while you develop professional contacts in the field. 100% online classes mean you can spend your vacation time with family/friends!

• Board Development

Are you ready for your organization to take a giant leap forward? Many organizations do not fully understand the role of the board and struggle to prepare board members for their responsibilities. Learn how to cultivate effective leadership practices and focus the board on their work of strategizing and fundraising. Clear assignments focus on your own board of directors or those in a case study nonprofit organization. Board Development counts towards the Core, Professional, or Leadership Certificates. • Introduction to Arts Management

Alumni at Work

Alum Alison Gibbs is the Marketing and External Relations Director at the Ogunquit Museum of Art (OMAA) on Oqunquit, Maine. A nature and art lover’s paradise, OMAA boasts almost three acres of outdoor art directly along the seashore, as well as an indoor museum showcasing over 3,000 pieces of artwork, plus rotating temporary exhibitions of contemporary American art. As the “one-person marketing operation,” Alison wears a lot of hats!

Alison describes the moment when she leapt into a career transition to arts marketing, "I thought at some point, ‘If I get to the end of my career and I'm doing this corporate thing, am I gonna feel fulfilled?’” she asked herself. “Maybe I can take my skillset and do what I've always wanted to do in the visual arts field.”
