Greenhut Galleries is looking for a new staff member! If you are an experienced framer who enjoys working with people and if you’re interested in joining a close-knit team in an excellent work environment, please submit your resume. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual for a framing position. An art background and familiarity with different media and art handling is required. Though we are primarily in need of help with framing, there is also a customer service aspect to this position, so the ability to work with customers and occasionally assist with art sales is crucial. Over the past 44 years, Greenhut has built its reputation not only by showing the finest contemporary Maine art, but also by adhering to the highest standard of customer care. In our framing service, we recognize the value of every piece of art, photograph, poster or other object that comes through our doors. As such, the successful candidate for this position must be committed to providing an exceptional level of customer service and professionalism at all times. Candidate will ensure customer satisfaction by demonstrating a friendly, energetic, and positive attitude to customers and co-workers. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attendance are mandatory, and since this is a public-facing position, a professional appearance is also required. Candidate will work under the direct supervision of our frame shop manager, and must be experienced in all aspects of framing: assisting customers with design choices, measuring and writing up frame jobs, cutting mats and glass, and assembling frames. Candidate must also have some experience with fine art sales. Experience with Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Office is a plus. Proof of covid vaccination is required. The gallery is open 6 days a week, and some Saturdays are required. We offer a competitive salary, a fabulous work environment, and paid time off.
