The Maine Arts Commission is NOW HIRING: Two Positions. 


Regional Development Director – Public Service Coordinator I 

Augusta (Part-Time, 42 hours bi-weekly) 

Grade: 27 - $29,767.92 - $40,458.60/Annually 

This position will work with and support the arts and culture of the Central Uplands, North Woods, Downeast, Acadian and border regions of Maine. The Regional Development Director position will focus on building a range of strategic partnerships with state and local agencies and nonprofits. Continuing to build on these partnerships, they will then develop and deliver a range of initiatives that will strengthen existing networks as well as support the central role of artists and cultural organizations at the local level.

This position will help extend the Maine Arts Commission’s presence and support in these under-resourced areas.

Development Program Officer – Director Special Projects

Augusta, | Full-time | Partially remote
Grade 26: $49,545.60 - $66,892.80/annually
This position collaborates with staff on communication with the field, program growth, research, funding opportunities and skill development on a wide variety of topics related to the work of the Maine Arts Commission. Directors of Special Projects are a valuable connection to state, regional, and national organizations related to areas of arts and cultural expression.
