Seeking Artists for Downtown Brunswick Murals!
- July 06, 2021
Brunswick Public Art and Brunswick Downtown Association are looking for two artists to create murals!
The Town Hall of Brunswick is searching for individuals who would add life to areas around Downtown Brunswick through art.
The deadline to submit a proposal for either site is July 16th. Send questions and digital submissions to Tom Barter at admin@brunswickdowntown.org and Emily Ruger at eruger@brunswickme.org.
- 36 ELM ST: This building is owned by Bowdoin College and is located right across the street from the downtown Hannafords --> 36 Elm Mural RFP
- TREE NURSERY: The Tree Nursery is next to the Brunswick Senior Garden on Industry Way. The artist will work with children from Family Focus to paint the mural. Educators, as well as artists, encouraged to apply! --> Tree Nursery Mural RFP
Both RFPs are in collaboration with Brunswick Public Art and the Brunswick Downtown Association, under the Art Around Town Program. One of the RFPs calls for someone to create painted artwork on the side of 36 Elm Street in Brunswick; the other RFP is seeking someone to work with children from the Family Focus Daycare Center to create a three “mini-murals” for the Town of Brunswick’s new Tree Nursery.
This project is generously funded through a grant from the Walmart Foundation.
