TRAC Announces Andover, Maine Artist, Deirdre Cavanagh,

as mid-August to late September 2019 Art Show

Artists’ Reception on August 17 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm

August 8, 2019, Newry & Bethel, Maine: Table Rock Arts Center (TRAC) is honored to announce its newest exhibition, The Works of Deidre Cavanagh, as TRAC’s next exhibition. The installation will run from August 17-September 29, 2019.

TRAC celebrates Deirdre Cavanagh and her work with an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 3:30- 4:30 pm at 162 Main Street in Bethel. The event is open to the public.

Deirdre Cavanagh lives and creates in Andover, Maine. She is a prolific artist. Of her work, she says, “I rhapsodize about how the paper (cold press, hot press, rough, BFK rives) responds to the ink, the water, the paint, about expensive brushes when one can afford them and fine pen nibs when one can find them. As far back as I can remember, I made pictures and over the years have been sustained in my commitment to the process by William the Silent because from him I learned that hope is not necessary to act, and success is not necessary to persevere. I see life as the creative and an artist as the receptive.”
