The Maine Review is pleased to announce that two Maine authors will be published in the Review’s first annual short-fiction collection, Juxtaposition.  Jennifer Clements of Vinalhaven and Meghan Fitzgerald-Black of Pittston submitted their work to the short-fiction contest earlier this year, and both will be published in Juxtaposition.

Jennifer Clements, whose story “Severance” will be published, is an architect and psychologist who moved from San Francisco to Vinalhaven to write fiction. Meghan Fitzgerald-Black began writing at the age of five, and has what she calls the “writing disease.” Her story “Blue and Black” will be included in the collection.

Also to be published in Juxtaposition are short stories by authors from Italy, Canada, Australia, and England, along with a number of writers from across the U.S.
