If you like something that is relaxing and meditative to do and love beautiful surprises, then this is an adventure for you. Come learn a little bit about Japanese dye resist techniques and Japanese quilt stitching.  You will dye a large bandana-size piece of fabric in an indigo vat using a Shibori method. When the piece is dry, you  will stitch a pattern on it using Sashiko stitching (a running stitch with white sashiko thread).  You will leave with one or two originally dyed and stitched piece you could make into a pillow, a centerpiece on a table, or incorporate it into another project. All welcome. https://sdamaine.wordpress.com. Limit 8-10 students.
