Artist Alert!  Every year we have a plein air painting event during the Trails End Festival in Millinocket, Maine. This is a good chance to paint Katahdin and environs with other artists. We have found that the buddy system works well painting in the wilderness. 

Everyone usually arrives Thursday night, the 11th, and then paints all day Friday. North Light Gallery will be open after hours to mat or frame your work and install a show for Saturday, the 13th from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  There will be refreshments and live music and your work will be for sale, with the gallery taking 25%. 

We hope the artists will march in the Trails End Festival parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and stay to enjoy the festival, which you can find out more about at www.trailsendfestival.org. It's a fun time and every year we add a few more artists. 

Lodging and meals are the responsibility of the artist and should be arranged soon if you intend to come or sleep in your car and park in the gallery parking lot!  The Appalachian Trail Cafe has showers upstairs for a nominal fee.
