About the Artist

Mission:
The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine exists to inspire discovery and imagination through exploration and play. The Museum & Theatre is serves as an indispensable resource for families and educators, helping to create a broad community devoted to our children's learning.

Population served:
The Museum & Theatre welcomes over 90,000 visitors each year.
• Exhibits and programs serve children six months to ten years of age and their parents and caregivers.
• Actors ages eight to sixteen participate in theatre productions, and audiences of all ages enjoy live theatre.
• Classroom programs reach students ages pre-k through 5th grade and their teachers.

The Museum & Theatre is dedicated to four areas of educational focus: early childhood, multiculturalism, science and the arts. We make every effort to ensure that programs and exhibits are available to all the families of Maine, regardless of income or location. To this end, we provide low- and no-cost outreach programs and educational kits to schools throughout the state, supplementing traditional classroom work with hands-on learning opportunities in the areas of multiculturalism, art, and science.
