About the Artist
Mainely Illustrations celebrates life - past and present - along the coast of Maine and beyond. My illustrations capture the essence of quintessential coastal communities and life on land and sea. I have been drawn to New England vernacular architecture for as long as I can remember – seeking out the old white clapboard churches, fraternal halls, schoolhouses, barns, covered bridges, farmhouses and capes – to lighthouses and lobster boats, boat yards and working docks, and the local shops that play a vital role in coastal villages and towns.
Each illustration is hand-drawn and painted, and reproduced as high quality giclee art prints and greeting cards.
