About the Artist

Royal River Chorus (RRC) is an acclaimed a cappella chorus chartered in 1985 whose members live in southern and mid-coast Maine. We are part of a vibrant and diverse global community of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) singers that embraces musical excellence while fostering a worldwide and inclusive culture of belonging.

One of 14 choruses in SAI’s northeast US Region 1, RRC is unique among Maine choruses, singing a cappella harmony in the traditional barbershop parts of bass, baritone, lead and tenor.

RRC has participated in competitions, performances and educational events all over the world. Throughout our history, we have won many regional and international awards. In 2022, at our first northeast regional competition since the beginning of the pandemic, we garnered a second-place medal in our chorus size and a third-place medal overall in the region, and the same two medals in 2023.

We rehearse in Falmouth, Maine on Thursday evenings. Guests are welcome to check out a rehearsal!
