WESTBROOK ARTS & CULTURE PRESENTS THE FOURTH ANNUAL PLEIN AIR PAINTOUT 

SEPTEMBER 8, 2018

Westbrook Arts & Culture will hold our fourth annual Paint Westbrook Plein Air event on Saturday, September 8, 2018, coordinated with Arts in the Brook -- a Westbrook-based arts festival.

Paint Westbrook will be hosted by Westbrook Arts & Culture, Discover Downtown Westbrook and Continuum For Creativity, 863 Main Street.

Painters will pre-register for this event by emailing the following information to westbrookartsculture@gmail.com: name, address, phone, email, website. Please use subject heading Paint Westbrook for all registrations. There will be a $10 registration fee for this event,
payable to Westbrook Arts and Culture.

Open to painters in all wall hung media. Continuum For Creativity will host an exhibition of the work created at Paint Westbrook from September 8 through October 13. There will be an opening reception for the artists from 5-7pm on September 8. Continuum For Creativity will charge a 30% commission on gallery sales.

Westbrook has a variety of scenes to paint: downtown buildings, Presumpscot River, Riverbank Park, rural beef farm, paper mill industrial buildings, historic brick Dana Warp Mill, Walker Memorial Library, and more.

(rain date September 9):

8-9am: artists register at Continuum For Creativity, 863 Main St., Westbrook, Maine.
There is plenty of free parking downtown. Breakfast pastry and coffee provided. Lunch will be provided.

9am-2pm: artists paint in Westbrook locations of their choosing.

2-3pm: Continuum will be open for artists to prepare their work for hanging, two pieces maximum per artist.

2:30-3pm: artists return work to Continuum For Creativity for hanging. Two pieces maximum per artist.

5-7pm: artists’ reception at Continuum For Creativity.

October 13, 5-6pm: artists pick up unsold work.
