PORTLAND, ME - Crossover Touring and Portland House of Music and Events present two slamming nights of FUNK, July 3-4 to celebrate our nations birthday!

July 3—Soule Monde
featuring Ray Paczkowski + Russ Lawton of Trey Anastasio Band)
w/ Special Guest Patchen & Roberts

Soule Monde is exploratory poly-rhythmic B3-organ driven funk featuring Russ Lawton and Ray Paczkowski, longtime members of Trey Anastasio Band. The duo's unique sound evokes 70s instrumental funk and soul, reminiscent of Booker T & Jimmy Smith, Medeski, Martin & Wood and even Beastie Boys' "IN Sounds from Way Out." Members of Soule Monde have appeared at Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, on Saturday Night Live, David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon, and have shared the stage with Carlos Santana, Rolling Stones, Trey Anastasio, Dave Matthews, Victor Wooten, Mike Gordon, Strangefolk and many more. The evening kicks off at 9:30PM with special guests Patchen and Roberts, featuring Luke Patchen Montgomery (Strangefolk) and Adam Roberts.

July 4—Naughty Professor (NOLA Gambit "Best of" Big Easy Award Nominee 2013, 2014 & 2015)
w/ Local support TBD

Naughty Professor, a forward-thinking endeavor pioneered by six young musicians now anchored in New Orleans, embodies the jazz-influenced party culture of the Big Easy in a constantly evolving, high energy funk outfit. Naughty Professors' love of performances, which weave together complex compositions and loose individual improvisation, quickly commanded the attention of music fans and taste makers.

Their new record "Out On A Limb" was just released on Ropeadope Records, home of Snarky Puppy and they are enjoying a rigorous tour schedule. Naughty Professor has shared the stage with artists such as Galactic, Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten, Rebirth Brass Band, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Revivalists, Big Sam's Funky Nation, Papadosio, George Porter Jr, The Soul Rebels and many more.

Portland House of Music and Events, at 25 Temple Street, Portland, ME offers live music almost every night of the week and an impressive array of attractively priced cold brews and craft cocktails.

Doors each night will be at 9 p.m., with show at 9:30 p.m.
