CAST ANNOUNCED FOR PLAY AT FORT KNOX AMPHITHEATER

Two Bucksport lawyers join the cast of BROKEN BRIDGES, Laura Emack's history play set in Prospect, Maine, in 1958. Veteran Midcoast actors Beth and Mike Rowe portray Marion and Elwood Laforge as Marion becomes the town's first female selectman over Elwood's strenuous objections. Evelyn LaCroix of Skowhegan plays fictional neighbor Hazel, newly divorced with a baby at age nineteen, who wonders what just happened to her perfect life.

BROKEN BRIDGES debuted at Prospect History Day in 2015 with an on-book performance directed by the playwright. Sandi Blanchette of Orland, best known for stage roles with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Maine at The Grand, directs the current full production by the "Stage Fright at the Fort Ensemble." The troupe also includes André Blanchard, child actor Bixby Hawkins, Deborah Chretien, and David Blanchette. The lawyers:  Eric Woodbury and Bronson Stephens.

Seating for each performance will be strictly limited to forty. Admission is free or by donation with all proceeds going to the Friends of Fort Knox.
