Bangor Community Theatre, the longest-running theatre group in greater Bangor, is proud to announce auditions for their Fall 2018 production, "Harvey" by Mary Chase, directed by Irene Dennis.

Audition dates: Friday, August 17 from 5:30-7:30pm and Sunday, August 19 from 2:30-4:30pm

Location: Bangor Grange #372, 1192 Ohio St.

Cast needed: 

6M, 6F ages 18-75

All roles are open.  We will be reading from the script.

About the play:

In this classic comedy from the 1940s, Elwood P. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta's social gatherings.  Trouble is, Harvey is an imaginary six-foot-tall rabbit.  To avoid future embarrassment for her family - and especially for her daughter, Myrtle Mae - Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium.  But it seems that Elwood and his invisible companion have a strange influence on more than one of the doctors.  Only at the end does Veta realize that maybe Harvey isn't so bad after all.
