Join artist Catherine Bickford for a two hour drawing workshop that will help you think about drawing in a totally new way. Students will work with graphite pencil, but Catherine will also show demos of other common sketching tools, such as charcoal, color pencil, color markers, and gouache. Learn simple techniques to improve your composition as well as an understanding of how to use value and scale to make a compelling image. Materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your own supplies. The Plein Air Art Festival features ten days of art activities in the outdoors. Now in its fifth year, the festival partners with artists, crafts people, and non-profits to offer high quality, interaction experiences to the public for free.
