Poetry Out Loud Finalist

Shaphnah McKenzie - Grade 12, Bangor High School

Shaphnah is originally from Jamaica and moved to the US in 2016. She hopes to major in English in college. She enjoys competing in Speech in the poetry and prose categories.

Shaphnah really enjoys English, Spanish, and robotics in school. She finds that participating in the POL program helps to build confidence, and improve one’s self-expression.
